Dulcimer Festival

November 6-8, 2009

 in Beautiful Historic Granbury, Texas

Get ready to tap your toes and clap your hands as the Brazos Valley Dulcimer Club in conjunction with Tarleton University’s Langdon Center presents a music festival with the purpose of passing down to future generations the wonderful sweet-strings of the hammer and mountain dulcimer mixed with fiddles, guitar and other acoustical instruments.

1.Bring your lawn chairs and hear free concerts all day.

2.Shop venders selling fine handcrafted instruments and music related items.

3.Sign-up for workshop – Small workshops offering great instruction.

4.Jam sessions 6p-8p Friday November 6th.   Free concerts and jam with old time family dance on Saturday 7t.h.  Concert 11:00am - 4:30pm  Sunday 8th, 2009.

Other jams may take place at Bennets RV Park or the 144 campground.  These are the two campgrounds most people are using.

Saturday Night Jam - If you play an instrument, bring it along and join in the Jam.   EVERYBODY is welcome to play, dance or just listen. No alcohol, please.

Family fun always happens when dulcimers play.  Jam sessions on Friday evening at the frestival site, the southeast corner of Pearl and Crockett Street on the historic square in Granbury.
